The initial first visit at Gronda Dental Clinic is a fundamental first step in the therapeutic process
In our initial consultation we familiarize ourselves with each patient and their health history, lifestyle, and oral health situation. Following the patient interview a clinical oral exam is performed and, in more complex cases this visit may involve more than one specialist.
Our initial visit usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the situation. During this initial visit radiographic examinations may be recommended in order to further evaluate clinical findings and to formulate an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan. We develop and propose a specific treatment plan and timeline taking into account our patient’s specific needs, so optimizing therapy

Clinical Principles
Hygiene and Prevention
Prevention is the main goal of every dental treatment in our practice. A healthy mouth is the result of a combined effort. In our philosophy, it is fundamental:
- Explain personalized methods for maintaining good oral hygiene at home every day
- Organize a system of periodic professional oral hygiene sessions to curb plaque and tartar buildup
- Prevent any problems/disease of the mouth
- Intercept (early diagnosis) any mouth problem/disease to avoid its consequences or worsening
For these reasons, because of its extraordinary preventive value, the professional hygiene session in our practice is a clinical procedure in which we place the utmost attention, is ALWAYS preceded by a specialized examination of the entire mouth, and is ALWAYS characterized by a sequence of operative steps:
- Rinse the entire mouth with antiseptic product
- Periodontal diagnostic surveys
- Application of bacterial plaque detector substance
- Customized instruction and advice on home bacterial plaque removal
- Removal of bacterial biofilm (plaque) by professional methods
- Removal of tartar and any stains
- Final quality control
Discomfort/pain control

In cases of dental phobia (fear of the dentist) or lengthy surgeries, we have the privilege of having a highly qualified anesthesiologist who can provide safe and easily controllable sedation throughout the procedure.
